KEY INFORMATION FOR NEW 20FT CONTAINERS

All 20ft x 8ft x 8ft 6 inch new ‘one-trip’ containers are manufactured in China; they then have one cargo trip over to the UK before being re-sold. This explains the term ‘one-trip’ which is often used to describe ‘new’ condition containers.

 

Unless otherwise stated all standard 20ft containers are 20ft long, 8ft wide and 8ft 6inches tall externally.

 

Our 20ft One Trip Shipping Containers are typically less than 6 months old when re-sold, they have only been used once. These units are also referred to as ’20ft One Trip Shipping Containers’ or ’20ft New Containers’.

 

If they’re not resold as new one trip shipping containers these units are expected to operate for several years on shipping lines, used to deliver goods internationally. Due to this harsh sea environment, they are manufactured to a high standard, using good quality materials to ensure they are 100% wind and watertight, and protect their cargo.

 

If you require your new shipping container for transporting goods overseas, the initial CSC certification lasts for 5 years from the date of manufacture. This date is clearly stated on the CSC plate which is located on the double doors of the unit. The CSC certification can be updated after this initial 5-year period.
